Surgery of minimum access in the diabetic foot

Introduction: The neuropathic and neuroischemic ulcers are of difficult cure. A unique and effective treatment does not exist, so it is necessary to combine them in oneself patient.
Objective: To compare the results of the surgery of minimum access and the conventional osteotomy with the use of factor of growth epidemic.
Methods: A descriptive, prospective study of traverse court in a period of time of one year of study, with a universe of 63 patients who attended the consultation of angiology in a regular basis. A sample of 30 patients was obtained with presence of a bad plantar perforate.
Results: It was obtained that: the surgical time was briefer and with less complications in the alone surgery of minimum access; the ambulatory surgery prevailed; there was a discreet prevalence of the neuroinfectious diabetic foot; the surgery of minimum access with use of factor of epidermal growth achieved the quickest closing.
Conclusions: The surgery of minimum access is a therapeutic option with low risk of complications.
